The Teague Middle School
band program provides an enjoyable and educational experience for more
than 300 students in grades 6 through 8. The Teague Program consists of
six bands: 3 Beginning Bands, Concert, Symphonic, and Jazz Band. Teague
students actively participate in Solo and Ensemble Festival in all grade
levels, consistently audition and participate in the Seminole All-County
Honor Band as well as the Florida All-State Band.
Since the school’s opening in 1972, the Teague Middle School
band program has earned statewide recognition for musical excellence
in concert, jazz, and individual categories. The Symphonic Band and
Jazz Bands have a proud tradition of excellence and achievement. The
success of our program lies in the determination of students, parents,
and Elementary teachers to play better, work better, and achieve better
than before. Our band students learn that excellencelies
in the pursuit of a destination that is continually moving just beyond
their reach.

FAMOUS MUSIC QUOTES

Music is what feelings sounds like.
Throughout the years the Teague Bands have enjoyed the support of hardworking parents and our school administration. Students come from four elementary schools in our district: Bear Lake, Forest City, Spring Lake, and Wekiva.
The Bear Lake music program under the direction of Dr. Artie Almeida, the Forest City music program under the direction of Debbie Clifton, the Spring Lake music program under the direction of Andrew Toth, and the Wekiva music program under the direction of Nancy Roe, have had a strong impact on our program for many years because of their high level of teaching and well established programs. Our students move on to Lake Brantley High School band under the direction of Cynthia Berry.
